audience comments:

'it truly was music we (the audience) loved to hear' soundexpanse.com

'I saw an eclectic mix of new music that was interpreted with nuance by the performers. Was riveting from start to finish.'

'These are all composers with unique voices and something to say, yet who would find it very difficult to be programmed anywhere else in London. I genuinely think MWLTH does a really important job in presenting music that is otherwise off the map; every year I make a new discovery, and last year was no exception.' Tim Rutherford Johnson

'Due to the considered, engaging program and choice of venue I was able to immerse myself in the new music performed without the pressure of feeling I needed to be aware of any context or theory.'

'A yearly highlight in the concert calendar, mwlth never ceases to surprise and engage - never afraid to break rules and push the envelope.'

'Friday was stunning, it was one of the most beautiful and interestingly programmed events have been to for a very long while!'

'those quiet murmurings in Eastcheap'

support music we'd like to hear

We are a collective of musicians and composers who, since 2005, have been creating a one-of-a-kind space where we welcome listeners to come together to share and celebrate new and neglected contemporary music. We hand-pick the programmes with the aim of sharing our fascination and enthusiasm with everyone. We provide a platform for creative & experimental work, for showcasing emerging talent, and for promoting learning and collaboration.

As a not-for-profit organisation, our ability to sustain this series depends solely on ticket sales, funding awards, and donations, with all of the proceeds going towards the musicians and composers. We strive to keep ticket prices affordable so that as many as possible can experience these exceptional events.

Please consider supporting Music We'd Like to Hear with a one-off or regular donation. Every contribution helps us to continue providing this space for inspiring music from our world-wide community.
