audience comments:

'Excellent gig last night by @mwlth, performed by @house_apartment. @georgia_georgia's String Quartet was even more impressive on second listening, and I liked the playful new speaking-quartet piece by @maya_verlaak delving into the current discussion around gender imbalance.'

'Absolutely brilliant programme.'

'Terrific programme from @house_apartment at Music We'd Like To Hear tonight - so many new discoveries, Johanna Beyer is a real find.'

'Beautiful evening yesterday at @mwlth with rustling tissue paper, harpsichords, piano, violin strings and resonating boxes. So nice to come back to these summer events year after year.'

consistently magical curation. Thanks for another beautiful evening of sound.'

'Fantastic start to Music We'd Like To Hear @mwlth: Catherine Lamb piece for live electronics, live performance of Robert Ashley's flute concerto and two pieces by the unjustly obscure Hermann Meier.' (Ben Harper)
'...the series has become a central hub of a community that centers in London but overlaps with other near and distant localities, both in programming and in the visitors drawn to it.'

support music we'd like to hear

We are a collective of musicians and composers who, since 2005, have been creating a one-of-a-kind space where we welcome listeners to come together to share and celebrate new and neglected contemporary music. We hand-pick the programmes with the aim of sharing our fascination and enthusiasm with everyone. We provide a platform for creative & experimental work, for showcasing emerging talent, and for promoting learning and collaboration.

As a not-for-profit organisation, our ability to sustain this series depends solely on ticket sales, funding awards, and donations, with all of the proceeds going towards the musicians and composers. We strive to keep ticket prices affordable so that as many as possible can experience these exceptional events.

Please consider supporting Music We'd Like to Hear with a one-off or regular donation. Every contribution helps us to continue providing this space for inspiring music from our world-wide community.
